ABOUT LYNNE CANAVAN

Lynne Canavan is a professional violinist and jazz vocalist from Marlborough, MA.

As a violinist, Lynne is a 20+ year member of the Milford, MA-based Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra and she regularly performs with ensembles managed by Bryan Hilliard, founder, trumpeter and manager of Occasional Brass and Strings.

Unique to Lynne’s musical offerings is a highly-specialized, one-of-a-kind participatory strolling VioLynne music program designed for senior living communities including Independent, Assisted and Memory Care programs, Senior Centers, Council on Aging, Adult Day programs and Memory Cafes throughout the New England area. As a vocalist, Lynne performs music from the Great American Songbook with some of the finest jazz musicians in New England including jazz guitarist, Alan Whitney, pianist, Jack Coleman and jazz bassist, Roger Kimball.

Lynne is available for hire as both a solo electric and acoustic violinist providing back ground music in clubs and restaurants, for special corporate events as well as wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours. She can also provide small chamber music ensembles to perform classical background music. Her solo repertoire spans the decades in the 20th century and can include all of your favorite pop tunes to date.
